Over 200 participants of all ages came out to run, walk, and Outrun Stigma!

Lakewood Center’s Outrun Stigma 5k brought together a vibrant and inspiring community dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness. With over 200 runners and walkers of all ages, the energy and impact of the day were undeniable.

A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors, incredible supporters, and every racer who showed up—not only on the course but for the cause. Your participation helps fund essential services including long-term residential care, community integration support, and innovative therapeutic programs.

Through Lakewood Center’s comprehensive care model, adults living with serious mental illness are empowered to grow, thrive, and gain greater independence. Every step taken on race day moved us closer to a future where mental health is fully embraced, understood, and supported by all.
